Game Notes
9/4/2010: Nipmuc v. Charlton-Dudley: Tiime ran out on the Warriors in the fourth quarter as a scoring battle ended in a 20-13 C-D victory. There were long running plays from scrimmage on both sides of the ball from Nipmuc and C-D. Many Warrior players stepped up and did an excellent job for the team on both offense and defense to fill in for missing players. The team looks forward to having a productive week of practice leading into our next game against Clinton.
8/29/2010: Nipmuc at Littleton: The Warriors opened the 2010 season with a 26-6 win over the Littleton Tigers. The offense scored twice in the first half on a couple of long drives for touchdowns. The Defense provided the spark in the second half with stingy defense, a long runback on an inerception, and a recovered fumble. A lone sweep to the left provided the Tigers with their only score of the day. The team has much more work to do going into game 2 against Charlton-Dudley.
8/22/2010: Nipmuc v. Hudson. Jamboree: The Warriors overcame a rain soaked game against the Hudson Hawks and controlled the line of scrimmage on offense and defense. The warriors scored thier first passing TD, and had many positive yards rushing the ball. Defensive line penetraion was solid and the secondary recorded their first interception of the year. The game was a solid step in the right direction leading up to our first regular season game against Littleton.
8/18/2010: Nipmuc at South Attleboro: The Warriors came out to play in their first scrimmage of the 2010 season. All the players stepped up their game and showed a lot of fire on the field after having practiced against each other for a couple of weeks. Offensively we ran our basic plays and saw a lot of good things on the field. Defensively we stepped up and made made hard stops even though we haven't had a lot of practice time thus far. It looks like the boys picked up right where they left off last year...and that's a good thing.
